I’m Katya, a visual communication student in my third year at HIT, currently focused on UX/UI design.

I chose UX/UI because it's a discipline where design has real consequences. It's not only about what looks good — it's about what works, what feels right, what makes or breaks an experience. That tension is what I find endlessly interesting.

My first design dreams were album covers and posters — visual language at the intersection of music and culture. That instinct never left, it just evolved. The projects in this portfolio reflect that: digital platforms designed to enhance real life rather than replace it, with a sensibility rooted in music, culture, and the analog world that inspired me to design in the first place.

I believe technology works best when it gets out of the way and lets real human experiences happen. That's the designer I'm trying to be.
